Our Services

Warehouses4Good is a national resource for developing philanthropic food warehouses in rural communities across the US. Our in-house staff and teaming partners provide the full range of services to plan, build, and operate food grade warehouses, including:

  • Selecting locations for maximum impact.
  • Organizing collaborative teams of local stakeholders.
  • Writing grant applications and processing loan documents.
  • Acquiring land
Designing facilities and adapting them to local needs.
  • Conducting site assessments (i.e., environmental, cultural) as required by local governments or lending institutions.
  • Securing the approvals and permits to build and operate.
  • Constructing, equipping, and maintaining the facilities

Our collaborative approach with local stakeholders means that we will provide as many (or few) of these services as needed, relying on local expertise and engagement for any tasks whenever available.

Pre-Development

Warehouses4Good staff and teaming partners conduct the investigations, provide architectural, engineering, and financial services, and prepare the reports needed to meet those requirements.

Collaboration

Our approach is simple. For each facility, we assemble a diverse team of architects, engineers, logistics professionals, and general contractors who work together to build food hubs that are perfectly suited to local needs and conditions.

Construction

Our team’s 50+ years of collective experience has been gained on projects totaling more than $25 billion in construction and services value. This skill set supports simultaneous planning and construction at multiple sites across the US
